Family law attorney-mediator Don Caruthers is a native of northern Virginia and has practiced law for 40 years. Dissatisfied with the way family law attorneys and the legal profession often treated divorcing couples, in 1992 Mr. Caruthers began to explore and learn the benefits of divorce mediation, an amicable and cost-effective alternative to the traditional adversary process.

In his early years of practice, Mr. Caruthers was a prosecuting attorney in Arlington, acquiring extensive courtroom experience. Now a seasoned family law attorney-mediator and Certified Financial Planner™ with an advanced law degree in taxation, attorney Don Caruthers brings a broad base of legal knowledge and financial acumen to mediation. Mediator Lorren T. Johnston is currently a student of the Institute for Divorce Financial Analysts, and is a candidate to receive her Certified Divorce Financial Analyst designation. Ms. Johnston attended the Columbus School of Law at
Catholic University in Washington, D.C. Prior to law school, she earned her degree in International Business Management (MBA) from the Ecole National des Ponts et Chaussees (ENPC) in Paris, France; and from The George Washington University School of Business Administration and Public Policy in Washington, D.C. As an undergraduate, Ms. Johnston focused her studies on Economics and received her BA in Economics from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill.
Mediator Kathy Teeple is certified as a mediator by the Supreme Court of Virginia at the Juvenile Court level. She has a Masters Degree in Psychology and a second Masters Degree in Counseling and mediates parenting issues for divorcing couples.
